owlmazing makes…purchases. and mistakes.

Yesterday I went to one of my LYS’s, wool-tyme. I had a few things in mind that I needed. I happened to have some MAJOR mishaps though.

• I bought 2 sets of wrong length circulars
• I LOST a skein of yarn on my way home
• Chris didn’t even like the yarn I  bought to make a hat for him.

Sigh.

I made it home with:

• 2 skeins of sublime DK cashmere merino silk blend yarn in white/creme, and 1 in a purpley color (The second purple fell out of my bag on the way home! 😦 )
• 1 80 cm US 7 circ and 1 US 8
• 1 set GOOD bamboo needles in size 4 for my beekeepers quilt 🙂
• 1 more skein of arequipa on sale for said quilt
• 1 pattern booklet to make a hat from this purple yarn from
• TEENY TINY MOCHI MOCHI by anna hrachovec

I knit this littttle puffy 🙂

Hope my next trip is less disastrous! I am ok with chris thinking the creme is too ‘femme’ for him….it’s mine now! Muahaha. Cashmere Merino Silk is my new best friend FOREVER.

Did I mention it takes me 49 minutes just to get to this place by bus? GEESH. I went specifically for the sublime though. Mmmm. Sublime.
